Interesting and inspiring video. The ramifications and creative applications of this technology, are hard to imagine. It seems the low cost, DIY aspects and accessibility are three major advantages.
In thinking about how to apply this new media in the digital art room, the hand camera and the physical aspects of imaging, moving information between the digital and physical world, most appealed to me.
On a tangent, it reminded me of this product a friend recently showed me not yet commercially available from Microsoft:
