I notice in the article they specifically refer to creating standards for Math and English. Personally, I wouldn't mind national standards for these subjects in Canada.
ReplyDeleteThere are some subjects, particularly social studies that I believe should be allowed more freedom in terms of regional variation. In a country like Canada with our wide variations in culture and history, the curriculum should remain at the discretion of the Province.
